If you're thinking of joining us for the Virtual Walk on October 24th, and 6-week training program, here is everything you need to know.

The walking is real—it's the community that's virtual.

You’re probably familiar with local runs and walks held at a specific location. You’ve got to live close enough to get there by the start time—and not to mention the struggle to find parking. The great thing about a virtual walk is that  you pick where you do it, who you do it with, and what time you start.

What do I get when I sign up?

When you sign-up to the virtual walk, you will receive:

*Stocks are limited for the Prevention Backpack, so be sure to get in quick!

Is there any training support?

Absolutely! When you sign up to the Virtual Walk, we'll give you access to our exclusive training portal. There, you'll have access to the 6-weeks worth of training plans, nutrition plans, and expert tips from our incredible professionals

What if I can’t do it on October 24th?

That’s okay - you can do your 10km anytime in October!

Once you sign up, you'll have access to all the previous weeks of the training plan. Simply start at week one and take note of our recommendations to ramp up the intensity if you feel ready for it.

How do you know I really did a 10km?

Frankly, we don’t. But we trust you—that’s what community is all about. We'll be following along with everyone who posts on social media, so be sure to share your experience and use #preventionwalk tags on social media

You also don't need to report your final time or distance to us. This event is meant to inspire us all to exercise a little more, get outside in the fresh air and support our mental health. There's no need to stress out with the logistics of your walk.

Can I walk with people?

Yes, you can, but be sure to keep a safe distance and follow any COVID regulations in your area.

Why should I walk?

It’s incredibly good for you: Walking can reduce belly fat, protect your brain, and add years to your life. But you might also walk for other reasons, like to catch up with a friend or to explore your neighbourhood. There's lots more advice and reasons for walking on our Virtual Walk blog page, too.

How do I sign up?

We look forward to “walking” with you!
