Jennifer Garner's dedication to skincare extends far beyond her own complexion. The mum of three is passionate about teaching her kids a proper routine—even her nine-year-old son, Sam—which is why every bathroom in their house is stocked with a crucial product: cleanser.
The 49-year-old and Neutrogena partner keeps the brand's staple Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser at the ready at all times, recently telling People USA that it's an “absolute must-do” that she “can't live without.”
“It's in every bathroom for me and for my kids,” she said. “I will stand next to my son because I monitor his toothbrushing. And when he is done... I will cup water in my hands and give him water. And then while I'm doing that, I get his face and I get some daily cleanser because you have to wash your face before bed. You have to get into that habit.”
The cleanser is also perfect for Garner's teen and pre-teen daughters—Violet, 15 and Seraphina, 12—who are in the midst of establishing their own regimens. “I don't care if he's 9 and he's never heard of a pimple,” she said of Sam. “I don't care, you have to do it.”
The best-selling cleanser is great for all skin types—especially sensitive skin. It's oil-free, soap-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic and washes away impurities without stripping the skin of its moisture. Really, you can't go wrong with it.

Garner herself has kept a Neutrogena-centred skincare routine for decades, all the while using the gentle wash. Another one of her more recent favourites from the brand is the Peptide Firming Cream (which she told People USA "gives the skin a real youthful vibrancy,").
“You’ve got to find a way to introduce your retinol products,” the Suddenly 30 star previously told Prevention USA. “That’s tricky for women because it can make you peel, it can make you red.”
Most importantly, Garner and her kids never skimp on sunscreen. She swears by Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch. “People say to me, 'My gosh, I have the hardest time, my kid does not want to put on sunscreen.' But you just can't let that be an option,” she previously told People USA. “There's every kind of delivery system that you could possibly want now. So, they get to pick if they want a lotion, a spray, a stick... they know I will take them out and spray them down. You can't give in.”
