The English TV presenter and powerhouse behind make-up and skincare brand Trinny London, 58, shares what she’s learnt about life.

1. THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I WAKE UP IS…go for a walk and then do a meditation on the Calm app before I even pick up my phone to look at emails. This is something I’ve only started doing in the past few months; when I practise it, it really takes a lot of stress out of my day.

2. I BELIEVE IT’S ALWAYS GOOD MANNERS TO…give somebody your full attention.

3. WHEN PEOPLE RECOGNISE ME, THEY SAY…they feel there’s nothing they can’t tell me, which I find so rewarding.

4. STYLE IS…wearing an outfit where things have a flow and don’t jar.

5. I ALWAYS SAY THAT…it might be time to rethink your routine. Many women pick something up in their teens and twenties and stick with it without reflecting on it – but does it truly represent who you are and the woman you want to be today?

6. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME RIGHT NOW IS…the clinical trial data that we’re getting back on the product I’ll be launching very soon.

7. BEING KIND IS…something I learnt the importance of in my 30s.

8. THE LIFE LESSON I’D SHARE WITH MY 21-YEAR-OLD SELF? This is the worst decade of your life, but it’ll get better with every single decade.

9. I’M HAPPIEST…when in the car with daughter Lyla, 18, playing loud music.

10. MY FAVOURITE SUNDAY MORNING RITUAL IS…breakfast at a French café with Lyla, eating warm mini baguettes with butter and jam.
