Selfies have come a long way since all the excitement of flawless filters. Thanks to new beauty apps, they can now give you much more:
• Take a snap and the Olay Skin Advisor app analyses your face compared to over 50,000 other selfies in the system, to reveal your skin’s perceived age and areas for improvement, along with a skincare regimen.
• The recently unveiled Neutrogena SkinScanner (not yet available), can be attached to a smartphone, and when used with the Neutrogena Skin360 mobile app, it scores your skin, allowing users to understand how their skin is changing, while providing personalised advice.
• Clairol’s hair colour app, myshade, gives a whole new meaning to try before you buy. It allows you to ‘see’ how you look with a new hue and offers a live consultation with a professional colourist.
