Having grown up in the public eye, even Kate Ritchie can’t quite believe she’s 40, but right now she’s relishing the joys of being in her prime. After 20 years on Home & Away, Kate flew the nest and left Summer Bay to enjoy a career in radio and hasn't looked back! As a regular host on Nova FM's Kate, Tim and Marty Show, and two children's books under her belt, she's flying high and loving life. In the July issue of Prevention, we interviewed Kate about her Logie-winning life, here's a sneak peak....

What would your last meal be?
“It would have to involve the perfect mango… And, I’m going to say a good lamb cutlet, medium-rare, lots of pepper and salt, and I’d eat it like a lollipop. Glorious!”

Yoga pants – every day or just for the gym?
“Every day. And if I knew I could get away with wearing them in the studio with the boys, I’d wear them into Nova as well.”

Favourite way to relax?
“Spending time in the garden. It’s the one place I’m the most ‘In the moment’.”

Your signature dish?
“I love to cook and I love to entertain. I do very good meatballs that aren’t too sausagey. I always cook with love.”

The one song that always makes you happy?
“It has to be Madonna. My favourite song and clip is Burning Up.

What would the title of your autobiography be?
“I’ve already been asked to write one and I said no, but if I’d gone ahead all those years ago, the title would be something like ‘…and I’m not quite done yet!’ ”
