Celebrities have a lot on their side when it comes to staying fit: money to afford a regular trainer, a more flexible schedule, and amazing genetics, to name a few. But when it comes down to it, celebs still have to drag themselves to the gym or a workout class, same as anyone else, and they have to put effort into their healthy lifestyle for long-lasting results. Here are the workouts super-fit celebrities use to maintain their sculpted bodies.

Halle Berry
Yoga and boxing
At 52, Halle Berry has the body of a 25-year-old, and it's due in large part to her rigorous routine at the gym. The actress often shares inspirational messages on her Instagram for #FitnessFriday, which offer a glimpse into her intense workout regimen. For starters, Berry can pull off some insane yoga poses, which she uses to stay limber, improve mobility, and avoid injuries. Boxing also features heavily in her posts, and she often works up a sweat using a jump rope - 200 to 500 skips in a row! Berry usually pairs exercise with meditation to help herself relax, focus on her breathing, and release stress.

Jennifer Lopez
HIIT
We've said it before and we'll say it again: Jennifer Lopez's abs are no joke. Seriously, the woman is seriously ripped. J. Lo works with multiple trainers - depending on which coast she's on - and she often switches up her workouts to keep things fresh and challenging. She's a big fan of HIIT workouts with planks, ab workouts that utilise a stability ball, full-body weight training, and moves that tone her butt, like the platypus walk. Plus, Lopez never skips a workout - like ever - and she hits the gym first thing in the morning to make sure her busy schedule doesn't get in the way of her fitness.

Nicole Kidman
Indoor cycling, yoga
At 51, Nicole Kidman looks better than ever. The actress is naturally tall and slender, but even while juggling responsibilities as a successful actress and mum of four, Kidman finds time to work out and stay fit. She grew up in a family of marathon runners, so running is still a huge part of her routine (fun fact: Britney Spears' 'Work B*tch' is her favorite running tune), according to Women's Health. She also swears by indoor cycling and yoga - particularly ashtanga and vinyasa. "You need all that and, particularly as you're getting older, you need to do the things that are not high impact," she explained.

Cindy Crawford
Circuit training
Cindy Crawford works with her trainer, Sarah Hagaman, three mornings a week, the 52-year-old model told Shape. "We do circuit training for the whole body using weights, some machines, and my own body weight with lunges and squats," she said. "We usually do about 10 minutes of weights and then a five-minute cardio segment. Right now we are into running stairs, but we switch it up. We repeat the 10-minute weight and five-minute cardio at least three times and then we finish up with abs and stretching." When she's not at the gym, Crawford incorporates exercise into her social life, whether that's hiking or riding bikes with her husband or girlfriends.

Julianne Moore
Ashtanga yoga, walking
The Oscar-winning actress discovered Ashtanga yoga in her 30s, and since then, it's been a major part of her fitness routine, especially as she grows older. "The kind of yoga that I had done sporadically before was not that engaging for me," she told The Cut. "Ashtanga isn’t something I can’t necessarily do every day, but I try to do it four times a week... And I try to walk everywhere in New York."

Kate Middleton
Swimming, skating, tennis, and other sports
The Duchess of Cambridge is no-doubt a busy woman, with countless responsibilities as both a royal and a mum of three, but Kate is just as committed to a healthy lifestyle. The royal often works out with her sister Pippa, who's even more passionate about fitness. Apparently, Kate is a huge fan of planks, which she can hold for at least 45 seconds and repeat 10 times for each variation, a royal source told the Daily Mail. She's also known to love swimming, skiing, tennis, indoor rowing, and other sporty activities.

Jennifer Aniston
Yoga, battle ropes
Jennifer Aniston is almost 50 years old, and she's not slowing down one bit. The actress is known for loving yoga, but she also goes hard in the gym, "throwing heavy boulders around and pushing medicine balls and wiggling and shaking that big rope thing [battle ropes]," she told Vogue. "Then I do 45 minutes of intervals on my elliptical. I raise the incline, run for two mins, walk for one, run for two... and I do it for 20 minutes straight until I'm just drenched."

Meghan Markle
Pilates, running, and yoga
Meghan Markle has been a fitness junkie her whole life, long before she married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex. Running and yoga have been the two staples of her fitness routine for years, along with Pilates, which she called "the best thing you could do for your body" in an interview with US Weekly. Her trainer of three years, Craig McNamee, worked with Markle while she was filming Suits in Toronto and said they worked out four days a week for 45 minutes per session. Their full-body workouts focused heavily on posture, with moves to work her glutes, back, hamstring, and core muscles.

Kerry Washington
Pilates
Scandal actress Kerry Washington is another Pilates devotee, and she says the benefits go far beyond toning your body. "Pilates has allowed me to be focused on my appearance and my health in ways that are not abusive or critical," she said, according to Women's Health. Washington usually does Pilates three to four times a week for 60 minutes at a time, her trainer Nonna Gleyzer told Shape. Their full-body workouts focus heavily on the lower abs, calves, and Achilles tendons to improve overall stability and posture. "She initially wanted to try Pilates because this type of training won’t put pressure on her joints," Gleyzer explained. "My method is gentler on the body but also keeps it toned and strong."

Kate Hudson
Pilates
Actress Kate Hudson made a name for herself in the fitness world by launching her sportswear brand Fabletics, but she does more than just look good at the gym - she goes hard. Those who follow her on Instagram will know that she's a diehard fan of Pilates, which she's been doing for 20 years. "It's the workout my body really responds to," she told Shape. "It's all about alignment, elongating your spine, and strengthening your core. It makes me feel my strongest."

Serena Williams
Running, dance
As a world-famous tennis player, Serena Williams has to stay in top shape, so she'll usually hit the gym for an hour and a half or two after practicing for hours on the tennis court, she told Self. "I'll do one day of serving, then a day of ground strokes. I'm definitely an outdoorsy person, so for cardio, running is best, whether it's distance or sprints. I also like ballet," she told the magazine. Dance is one of her lesser-known passions: "I take all kinds of dance: contemporary, modern and Lyra with a hoop. Venus wants me to try hip-hop. I like ballet, but I don't do pointe yet - that's a dream of mine."

Kelly Rowland
Pilates, HIIT
The Grammy Award-winning singer somehow makes 37 look like 27. She told Health her go-to workout is Pilates for building core strength. "After I had my son, it was super tough on my body. [Pilates] just keeps the core tight, brings the abs in, the breathing, it’s just fantastic," she said. Rowland also does HIIT workouts with her trainers regularly, and like her former Destiny's Child bandmate Beyoncé, she's a big fan of SoulCycle, according to Well+Good.

Jessica Alba
Hot yoga, resistance bands, kettlebells
Some people are night owls, while others are mornings risers - and Jessica Alba is definitely falls in the latter category. The actress and Honest Company CEO likes to rise and shine at 5:15 am. for a sweaty hot yoga session. "I feel really good after. It gives me energy and it just sets a good foundation for the day," Alba told Self. She's also known to hit the gym multiple times a day, using bands and kettlebells to work the upper body along with doing classic squats, resistance band sidesteps, and intermittent cardio.

Lucy Liu
Pilates, running
In her Charlie's Angels and Kill Bill days, Liu worked out vigorously for eight hours a day, five days a week, according to Fitness magazine. Back then, her workouts involved lots of kicking moves that left her unable to even lift her legs afterward, but these days, the 49-year-old actress turns to Pilates to strengthen her core and her treadmill to burn kilojoules. Both exercises help clear her mind, she explained. "I don't have long legs, but through the combination of Pilates and running, they look longer and feel better than they ever have," she said. "And if I have time - which I don't these days - I'll take a yoga class, hike with [my chocolate Lab] Apple, or go for a swim."

Margot Robbie
Boxing, Pilates, ballet
Margot Robbie needed more than her acting chops to prepare for her role as former pro figure skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya. The 28-year-old trained five days a week for four hours a day to build enough muscle mass to play an Olympic athlete, Women's Health reported. While Robbie initially focused on toning her legs, she said the real Harding advised her to focus on core strength, so the actress committed to doing at least 100 sit-ups a day. This isn't the first role she's had to train hard for - in preparation to play Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, she practically lived in the gym doing boxing, Pilates, jump-rope cardio, and ballet-inspired moves with added weights, People reported.
