No one has ever woken up and been excited about a trip to the dentist-and Jessica Alba is no different.

The actress and Honest Company founder took to Instagram yesterday to live-stream herself at the dentist, explaining that one of her teeth fell out during a workout. "I don't know if you guys know this, but I really don't like doing anything to my teeth. I have this fear," she told her fans during the stream, which was later uploaded to her Instagram as a video.

"How am I? I'm nervous," she said, responding to one fan's question. "I don't like going to the dentist. Not that I have anything against them; I just don't like my teeth being worked on because it hurts."

Alba also included a somewhat graphic photo of the tooth that fell out, as well as a short post-procedure clip of herself with her dentist. In the second video, she thanks her dentist for fixing her teeth, laughing as she tries to talk with a numb, swollen mouth. "Thank you so much. I can't talk, but it's going to be great," said Alba.

While most of us probably haven't live-streamed a dentist appointment before, it's not uncommon to have some jitters going into your visit. In fact, a 2017 Journal of Dental Hygiene study found that 19 percent of the population sampled had moderate to high dental anxiety, and other research has shown that up to 80 percent of people have at least a little bit of dental anxiety.

Alba's impromptu stream goes to show it's completely fine to have anxiety about heading to the dentist or any doctor's appointment-just know you'll feel 20 times better when it's all over.
