Tiff Hall has made a very relatable confession: she’s struggling mentally with the long recovery from her recent injuries.

The celebrity personal trainer, who appeared on Prevention's December/January 2021 cover, had surgery late last year for a severed ligament in her wrist.

“My injuries are getting to me, I’ll be honest,” she noted on Instagram this week. “Feeling frustrated, I had a teary moment in my dressing gown today and couldn’t get going.”

Hall said that she found the inspiration to work out after looking at all the positive messages and smiling selfies in her TIFFXO Facebook community.

“I knew as soon as I changed my physiology I would change my psychology, therefore change how I was feeling (easier said than done),” she noted.

“It’s hard showing up and pressing play on a workout. It takes a lot of courage, especially when you feel vulnerable.”

Hall said she was proud of everyone who exercises each day “no matter how you’re feeling or what life throws at you - you press play because you know it will help”.

“My injuries will be my greatest teachers, I know this,” she added. “So I have to be patient and learn. I had [psychologist] Cass Dunn’s voice in my head today – ‘don’t try to be perfect, good enough is good enough’ – and today just showing up was good enough. Thank you ninjas for always being so inspiring. I felt better after I moved.”

Tiff’s wrist problems were the result of an old injury that had never been properly addressed.

“I had a ligament that was severed and bones that had moved around in my hand from front to back, and it was a big mess,” she said in an Instagram story video.

“If I had my time again I would have investigated sooner, as I first noticed the pain lifting my son Arnold every day.”
